The Winnipeg Jets will skate in front of their home fans for the first time this season on Friday night as they welcome the Nashville Predators to MTS Centre. Lucas Perez Jersey . You can catch the action LIVE on TSN3 in the Jets region at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt and can be heard on TSN 1290 with coverage beginning at 6pm ct. The Jets began the campaign with three in a row on the road, opening the schedule with a 6-2 win over Arizona before suffering back-to-back losses at San Jose and Los Angeles. Winnipeg scored just one goal in the setbacks, shut out by the Sharks on Saturday before falling 4-1 to the Kings the following night. Bryan Little had the lone goal versus the Kings, his third of the season, but Michael Hutchinson yielded three goals on 13 shots before getting lifted in the second period. Ondrej Pavelec came in and made 17 saves on 18 shots in relief. Yeah, we knew (the Kings) were going to come hard, said Hutchinson. They dropped their first two games and being back at home we knew they were going to come hard and they did. Its just unfortunate that we couldnt pull it out tonight. Winnipeg is set to play five straight at home and Pavelec should get the start tonight. He is 3-3-1 with a 2.21 goals against average and .927 save percentage in eight games versus the Preds, including seven starts. While the Jets will enjoy their home opener, the Predators hit the road for the first time following a three-game homestand to begin the season. They won the first two under new head coach Peter Laviolette before dropping the finale 3-2 in a shootout on Tuesday against Calgary. The Flames Joe Colborne opened the tiebreaker with a goal on Pekka Rinne and both James Neal and Olli Jokinen failed to score on their chances for the Predators. Filip Forsberg and Mike Ribeiro had the goals in regulation, while Rinne made 26 saves through overtime. You give Calgary credit. They came in here and played a hard-working game and earned the two points, said Laviolette. The Predators will also visit Chicago on Saturday and Rinne may get the call tonight in net given his history versus the Jets. He is unbeaten against them, going 4-0-0 with a 2.90 GAA and .900 save percentage. Forsberg aims to continue his hot start tonight as he has notched four points through three games. The young winger had just five points in 13 games with Nashville last season. Jokinen, meanwhile, will face the Jets for the first time since leaving the club as a free agent. He netted 25 goals and 57 points over 127 games the last two seasons while with Winnipeg and scored two goals with five points versus the Predators last season. Nashville, though, went 3-2-0 in last seasons series and is 9-3-2 over the past 14 encounters. Wojciech Szczesny Jersey .A. Dickey, even though he was coming off a Cy Young Award in 2012. Many felt the Jays would regret giving up righthanded pitcher prospect Noah Syndergaard and catcher Travis DArnaud over the long haul. . Next up is another showdown with Michigan. Payne scored 18 points, Branden Dawson had 14 and No. 22 Michigan State beat No. 12 Wisconsin 83-75 on Saturday to reach the Big Ten tournament championship. MILWAUKEE -- As conditioning tests go, this might have been a little bit more than Tyson Chandler was expecting in his first game back. A double-overtime victory made the extra effort worthwhile. Chandler played 36-plus minutes in his return from injury, J.R. Smith hit a go-ahead jumper in the second overtime and the New York Knicks beat the Milwaukee Bucks 107-101 on Wednesday night. Chandler cramped up at the end of the game, earning him an apology of sorts from Knicks coach Mike Woodson. "Its a sign of not being out on the floor and running," Woodson said. "I apologized to him -- but hell, I needed him." Chandler didnt mind at all. "I was willing to do whatever it took to get a win," Chandler said. "I told coach, dont put me on a minute restriction. Whatever you feel like you need or whenever you need me out there, just keep me out there." Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points and Beno Udrih added a season-high 21 for the Knicks. Smith had 19 points. Anthony had the biggest workload of all, playing 55-plus minutes. "We were right there and it kept going back-and-forth so we needed everybody to step up," Woodson said. "I just didnt have time to rest him. Thats how its probably going to have to be for right now." Chandler, who had been out since Nov. 5 with a non-displaced fracture of his right fibula, had nine points and nine rebounds. "Tyson came back strong," Anthony said. "Just his presence out there. His awareness out there on the court, how to be aggressive, knowing when to be aggressive, when not to -- his comeback was big for us." Brandon Knight scored a career-high 36 for the Bucks, who have lost four straight. John Henson had 20 points and 14 rebounds while Khris Middleton added 20 points. Bucks coach Larry Drew praised Knights scoring ability, but noted that he only had three assists -- and the Bucks only had 13 as a team. "Were going to have to be better, and hes going to have to be better, at distributing the basketball," Drew said. Simply getting through a double-overtime game was a challenge for Drew, who had only eight healthy players. "Its challenging,"; Drew said. Gabriel Jersey. "I know a couple of our guys were gasping for air over there. But it certainly is an opportunity to see what theyre made of." New York took a 99-98 lead on a jumper by Smith with 3:07 left in the second overtime. Anthony then hit a pair of free throws for a three-point lead with 1:32 left. Knight missed a three-point attempt, giving the ball back to the Knicks, and Anthony hit a 3-pointer with 50.1 seconds left to put the game away. Points were hard to come by late in the fourth quarter and in both overtimes, but both teams had chances. The Bucks had a shot at the win with 19.2 seconds remaining in regulation but Henson and Middleton both missed, sending the game into overtime. Drew made no secret of his annoyance with Henson deciding to take a long jumper, saying, "That was not the shot. Ill just leave it at that." With the Knicks holding a two-point lead with 33.3 seconds left in the first overtime, Anthony missed a shot, Chandler grabbed the rebound and Andrea Bargnani missed, giving the ball back to the Bucks. Henson then tipped in a wild Knight miss, tying the game with 0.3 of a second left and sending it into double overtime. Bargnanis miss was a head-scratcher for Woodson. "I dont know if he thought we were down," Woodson said. "This is a game of inches and obviously he had something else going through his mind at the time." Chandlers return was a boost for a Knicks team that continues to struggle with injuries. Guard Pablo Prigioni was out with a toe fracture, and the Knicks were without Amare Stoudemire. Rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo made his first career start for Milwaukee. Antetokounmpo got in early foul trouble, but recovered to score 10 points and grab seven rebounds. NOTES: Guard O.J. Mayo was attending his grandmothers funeral and did not play for Milwaukee. ... Antetokounmpo is the youngest player to start a game in team history, and the youngest player to start an NBA game since Andrew Bynum in 2006, according to the Bucks PR staff. ... Raymond Felton (strained left hamstring) did not dress and Kenyon Martin (strained abdominal muscle) did not make the trip for New York.
